The Reporter 2012 Best Sports Photos

The area’s sports scene once again provided us plenty of exciting and memorable moments throughout 2012.

State qualifiers in basketball, North Penn and Christopher Dock softball both winning District One titles, Doylestown American Legion baseball reaching the Mid-Atlantic Regional and Pennridge football making a run to the district semis. Just to name a few.

To recap all that's taken place, here are some of our best pictures that we have taken over the past 12 months.

With 2012 just a few days away, what better time to share some of the sights from last year's area sports scene.

From swim meets in January to American Legion baseball in the hot summer months to the North Penn football team reaching the state final in December, 2011 had its share of interesting and exciting moments. So, go ahead and look back at it in picture form.

Once in a while, I actually do get to go to a sporting event without having to cover it. Monday was that day, as went to Allentown to catch the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs take on Charlotte Knights (the Chicago White Sox's AAA affiliate) at Coca-Cola Park. And since I have a forum to post things on the internet via this blog, I figure I'lll share a couple of picture I took at the game.
